AsomUnity is a community-driven initiative created to amplify the voices of the people of Assam. In a time when local concerns often go unheard, we stand as a digital platform for unity, awareness, and collective action.
We are here to bring together citizens from every village, town, and district of Assam — regardless of background — to speak up on issues that matter. Whether it’s about environmental degradation, unemployment, cultural erosion, poor infrastructure, or governance gaps, AsomUnity exists to give every individual a space to be heard.
Assam, often called the Gateway to Northeast India, is a state rich in natural beauty, cultural heritage, and vibrant traditions. Located in the lap of the Eastern Himalayas, Assam is famous for its lush tea gardens, the mighty Brahmaputra River, and diverse wildlife sanctuaries.
The state is world-renowned for Assam Tea, Assam Silk, and the one-horned rhinoceros found in Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Assam is also home to Manas National Park, Majuli – the world’s largest river island, and many sacred temples including the historic Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati.
Assam’s cultural identity shines through its festivals, especially Bihu, which reflects the unity, joy, and agricultural traditions of its people. The state is a melting pot of various ethnic groups, languages, and traditions, making it a true example of unity in diversity.
